Fraser steps down as ME Bank chair

By AAP

Mr Fraser joined ME Bank in April 2000, when the organisation was only six years old and operating as a simple securitised mortgage provider, the bank said in a statement on Friday.

Alan has been a trusted source of investment advice to Australians for many years, and in 2005 he founded Eureka Report - Australia’s #1 online investment report.

Along with Robert Gottliebsen and Stephen Bartholomeusz, Alan also founded Business Spectator, the popular business news and commentary website.

Mr Fraser has provided a depth of banking knowledge and experience unrivalled in the Australian business community,” the bank said.

Former Reserve Bank chief Bernie Fraser is stepping down as ME Bank chairman, effective immediately, and will be replaced by current director, Garry Weaven.
