Carnegie eyes consumer goods fund

The newspaper reports Mr Carnegie is seeking to raise $100 million for the new fund that will focus on small consumer items and has already purchased small operator Modern Baking.

Venture capitalist Mark Carnegie is eyeing a new fund for small, fast-moving consumer goods, according to The Australian Financial Review.

Along with Robert Gottliebsen and Stephen Bartholomeusz, Alan also founded Business Spectator, the popular business news and commentary website.

MH Carnegie investment director Mark De Ambrosis told the AFR the firm is “currently looking at six or seven other businesses”.
