Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner Has Some Serious Moves

The 707, Boeing’s first jet airliner, was similarly put through its paces fifty-odd years ago by test pilot Tex Johnson, who put the narrow-body equipment through a barrel roll in 1955.

The 787 is Boeing’s newest and most fuel-efficient jet airliner — 20 per cent more efficient than the 767 — but this demonstration would have been pushing it a little harder than your average Sydney to Auckland flight.

Some full-on banked turns, a touch and go, and one of the steepest take-offs I’ve seen a jumbo handle are below for your viewing pleasure, snapped before and during the Farnsborough show.

Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner was put through its paces at the Farnsborough Air Show over the last few days, and its performance was pretty damn impressive.
