Aust stocks edge lower at close

The Australian sharemarket has snapped a seven-session winning streak to edge lower at the close after a fall in the iron ore price weighed on resources stocks. At the 4. 15pm (AEST) official market close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index edged down 10. 7 points, or 0. 19 per cent, to 5,634. 9, while the broader All Ordinaries index inched down 7. 7 points, or 0. 14 per cent, to 5,632. 8.
