Aust stocks open weaker

The Australian sharemarket opened lower after weak German economic sentiment weighed on European and US markets and ahead of an upcoming report on US retail sales. At the 10. 15am (AEST) official market open, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index fell 19. 9 points, or 0. 36 per cent, to 5,510. 4, while the broader All Ordinaries index lost 19 points, or 0. 34 per cent, to 5,504. 1.
