Commonwealth Bank of Australia group executive of business and private banking, Grahame Petersen, is set to retire at the end of this year, after nearly 35 years with the lender.

Meanwhile, group executive of international financial services Simon Blair will step down from his role on October 31, but will continue representing CBA on boards in China, New Zealand and the United Kingdom on a full-time basis.

Alan has been a trusted source of investment advice to Australians for many years, and in 2005 he founded Eureka Report - Australia’s #1 online investment report.

Along with Robert Gottliebsen and Stephen Bartholomeusz, Alan also founded Business Spectator, the popular business news and commentary website.

CBA chief executive Ian Narev said Mr Petersen "is widely admired and will be missed", having made a "significant contribution" to the group.
