Dimension Data to buy Oakton for $171m

Along with Robert Gottliebsen and Stephen Bartholomeusz, Alan also founded Business Spectator, the popular business news and commentary website.

Technology services firm Dimension Data is set to buy technology and consulting services business Oakton in a deal that values the ASX-listed target at approximately $171 million.

The Oakton board has backed the offer of $1. 90 cash per share, a 30 per cent premium to Oakton's last closing price, which is subject to shareholder approval.
