Elliott, Rowley, Stagg to step down from Fortescue

The departure of current deputy chairman Herb Elliott, Fortescue co-founder Graeme Rowley and non-executive director Herbert Scruggs will reduce the board to nine members, including two non-executive members, in line with the miner's transition plans.

Fortescue chairman Andrew Forrest paid tribute to Mr Rowley, who has sat on the group's board since May 2003, saying his "extensive experience" in the industry, and "unfailing belief" in Fortescue has been "invaluable".
