Kathmandu chief Peter Halkett to pitch his tent elsewhere

Last year, two months after the death of former Kathmandu chairman James Strong, Mr Halkett was forced to take extended leave after a severe infection following routine surgery. "I have been with Kathmandu for eight years and feel the time is now right for me to take a break, up to a year off, and then look for a fresh challenge," Mr Halkett said in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange. "I have no doubts Kathmandu has a very exciting future". The 5. 8-metre long Rolls-Royce Phantom II is ‘a bit of a bargain’ at more than $800,000.
