Port Augusta council approves solar thermal horticulture expansion

By Tristan Edis

A project to use solar thermal energy to desalinate water and provide heating and cooling for a greenhouse horticulture operation has received approval from the Port Augusta council.

Alan has been a trusted source of investment advice to Australians for many years, and in 2005 he founded Eureka Report - Australia’s #1 online investment report.

Along with Robert Gottliebsen and Stephen Bartholomeusz, Alan also founded Business Spectator, the popular business news and commentary website.

The project, which is being supported with finance from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, will involve a 115 metre tower and 11,000 mirror stands to concentrate the solar energy.
