The Murdoch family continues to control Fox and its sister company News Corp with 38. 4 per cent of the voting stock, despite owning only 12 per cent of the company. Non-voting shares in Fox were to account for about 60 per cent of the takeover price and Time Warner reportedly wanted a higher cash component. "If I were a Time Warner shareholder, I wouldn’t be very happy to take non-voting stock where there’s such concentration," he said.
