Australian Bureau of Statistics data showed Australian retail sales rose a seasonally adjusted 0. 4 per cent in July to $23. 31 billion.
The official data follows a NAB survey yesterday, which showed the amount Australians spent online rose 8. 6 per cent to $15. 6 million in the year to July, boosted by increased spending on supermarket and department store websites.
The reading continues the positive momentum in retail sales begun in June, when retail sales grew by a seasonally adjusted 0. 6 per cent.
