UK rules against Rusal in LME appeal

By Dow Jones newswires

The UK Court of Appeal on Wednesday found in favour of the London Metal Exchange, ending a months-long dispute with Russian aluminum producer United Co.

Rusal, the world's largest aluminum producer by volume, originally brought the case in December 2013 to prevent the LME from making changes to the way aluminum is delivered to buyers.

The three judges at the Court of Appeal ordered Rusal to pay costs and denied the Russian firm permission to appeal the ruling.
