Workers building a solar plant in western New South Wales have raised safety concerns including venomous snakes on their work site.
Mr Kelly said the union’s last concern is that there were not enough local residents being hired to work at a construction site near Nyngan.
Mr Kelly said there were other safety problems on the site such as a lack of sheds or amenities required for the number of workers as well as unsafe electrical situations.
The Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) visited the site on Tuesday and found there were brown, tiger, and red-bellied black snakes on site.
