Tasmania’s peak motoring body says the island state is “the perfect place” for a fuel price investigation as it joins calls for Australia‘s competition watchdog to investigate the state’s petrol prices.
“Just in our capital city, Hobart, retail petrol prices have been at least 15 to 20 cents per litre above other mainland capitals and 10 to 12 cents above large regional mainland centres,” he wrote.
